About Natalie
Hi, I’m Natalie Camacho! I’m a student majoring in biological and pre-professional sciences, and I’m passionate about helping others succeed in math and science. My goal is to attend medical school, and I spent my high school years taking all AP math and science classes, which helped me build a strong foundation in these subjects. I believe in a hands-on, interactive approach to tutoring, where students are actively involved in solving problems and exploring concepts. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into simple, digestible steps and encourage questions throughout the session. By guiding students to understand the "why" behind the process, they not only get the correct answer but also gain confidence in their problem-solving abilities. I use examples and practice problems to make learning engaging and comprehensive.
Each lesson is tailored to the student's needs. We start by reviewing what the student already understands and identify areas that need improvement. The core of the lesson involves teaching a specific concept or skill, followed by guided practice, where I help the student work through problems. At the end, we summarize key points and I assign a few problems for practice between sessions. This ensures steady progress while reinforcing what we've learned.
What sets me apart is my background in biological and pre-professional sciences, which gives me a strong foundation in math and science. I understand the challenges students face because I've been in their shoes and can relate to their learning style. My patience, clear explanations, and ability to adapt to each student's pace ensure that they not only improve but also feel motivated and empowered throughout the learning process.
I offer tutoring for students ranging from middle school to college-level math and science, with a focus on algebra. Whether you're looking for help with basic concepts or more advanced topics, my lessons are designed to fit your needs. I also work with students who may need extra support in understanding key scientific principles or tackling difficult math problems.
