About Eric
Hi, my name is Eric! I’m a native speaker of Mandarin with qualifications, and I’d love to be your Chinese language tutor. I hold a Master’s degree in environmental management from Queensland University. I’m fluent in English and have over 3 years of experience in Chinese tutoring, adult training, and working with learners of all ages and backgrounds. My lessons are always personalized — whether you’re a child, a beginner, or an adult learner with specific goals. I focus on making Mandarin practical, enjoyable, and easy to understand, and I especially love helping students gain confidence in speaking. With experience in public speaking and hosting Mandarin events, I can help you improve not just your language skills but also your communication style. As someone who has lived, studied, and worked in both China and Australia, I enjoy sharing cultural insights, life experiences, and even parenting stories. I believe language learning is also about connection — and I look forward to learning and growing with you!

Mandarin is my native language, and I can also speak fluent English in the class. - Typical length of the lesson would be 45 minutes for kids or 60 minutes for adults. - I can provide the teaching material and also the homework exercises if needed. I have taught students of all ages and skill levels, covering areas such as basic vocabulary, pronunciation, and advanced grammar, reading, and writing, all of which can be tailored to your goals and interests. My teaching approach is also about making Mandarin learning both practical and enjoyable. I am also successful in explaining difficult topics in an easy and intuitive way. Whether you need Chinese for travel, business, career-related purposes, or conversational practice, I can help with all of the above and more.
