I’m an experienced professional with careers in government and education and really enjoy working one-to-one to support and empower people to change their lives for the better. I offer tailored sessions to clients looking to deeply reflect, better understand and implement change in their life. With decades of experience as an educator I combine deep listening, empathy, rigour and creative pragmatism to empower you through a career or life change.
At your initial session I will offer a space to explore your situation in depth, develop a picture of what is causing you to seek support, what difficulties you might be facing, and where you would like to be. I will guide you, drawing on the most appropriate methods and tools, to develop a framework of goals and objectives that we will use as a touchstone for the progress you desire. During subsequent sessions we will reflect on your progress, readjust strategies and tactics, or take time for more deep reflection and exploration according to your needs. Throughout I will celebrate your progress, encourage accountability, and support you to face your challenges with determination and equanimity.

Ed tutors my son, who will be taking the English Language IGCSE exam privately.
Ed does a great job of identifying and tackling my son's challenges through a mix of assigned reading and exercises.
He is patient and well-organized, coming to sessions with a clear plan.
On top of that, my son enjoys his sessions and feels comfortable speaking up and participating, which is really important too.
I would highly recommend Ed as an English tutor.Ed Bonner was a fantastic tutor. He helped me to exceed my target grade which was grade C at the start of year 11.
