About Kamlesh
I'm a singer-songwriter, producer and music teacher from India with Rajasthani folk roots. I've been singing since I was six. I trained at KM Music Conservatory, A.R. Rahman's music college, where I sang in the Sufi Ensemble that performed with him, and at the Berklee College of Music Vocal Intensive. For over 12 years I've taught students of all ages, and I still release my own music, so I teach from real studio and stage experience. I'm patient and encouraging, and I love helping families abroad stay connected to Indian music while learning modern technique.

Every lesson is 1-on-1 and online, scheduled in your time zone. We start with a free trial where I listen to you, understand your goals and suggest a plan. From there you follow a personalised 12-week roadmap: technique and ear training first, then repertoire you love, ending with a recorded recital piece. Singers work on breath, pitch, tone and expression, in Western styles or Hindustani raga-based training. Instrument students build technique, chords and reading step by step. Between classes you get exclusive access to the Calmli practice app: progress tracking with a parent portal, scheduling, practice material and exercises, a tanpura in 12 keys, a riyaz timer with streaks, my voice notes and feedback on your audio homework. Children and adults of all levels are welcome.
