About Alexandra
I earned a bachelor's in Data Science from UC Berkeley in 2021. As part of my major, I took advanced mathematics, including multivariable calculus, linear algebra and advanced statistics.
After college, I spent a year teaching English to high school students in France. Upon returning to the U.S., I completed a Master's of Foreign Service at Georgetown University with a concentration in Science and Technology in International Affairs.
My combined academic and professional experience has impressed on me the importance of students being comfortable with approaching mathematical problems. While I personally am not asked to integrate or derive in every day life, my mathematical foundation has proved vital to pursuing advanced degrees and professional opportunities.
I am currently tutoring while I take care of a family member.

I teach math to middle school and high school students from arithmetic to calculus. I focus on learning and understanding of key concepts -- not rote memorization. It's important to me that students are not afraid of math and can successfully use their mathematical skills as a foundation to pursue other interests.
