About Edward
I, for most of my life, have also been someone who struggles with learning. Schools often (and sometimes necessarily) remove the curiosity and wonder that is natural to learning, but all it takes usually is an understanding voice to draw it out again, and learning can be fun, or at the very least, stimulating. I aspire to be that voice and hope to inspire a level of confidence and positive attitude in my students.
Learning is also hard at times, and consequently it tends to be a very emotional experience for many, as is the nature of struggle. This is my strongest aptitude, in providing the right environment for students to overcome themselves.
I do not have a first from a prestigious university or boast many years of successful tutoring, as you will have surely seen. I am however, personable, honest and confident, and believe that academic achievement does not always equate to the skills of a great teacher and a mentor. I am also affordable.
