About Sophia
I am currently finishing my bachelor of science in psychology at Concordia University. I have been a tutor for high school mathematics for 5 years. I have also had the opportunity of tutoring mathematics in CEGEP. I have had great success in drastically increasing my students marks after a few tutoring sessions. My success is attributed to my passion for the subject and my drive to see my students succeed. I believe the most rewarding quality of being a tutor is enjoying the feeling of watching my student understand a topic that they originally found difficult.

I am an ideal tutor because I always ask my students to advise me of their curriculum in advance so that I can provide practice questions and work for their future topics. I like to take this approach because I brainstorm several methods of teaching a single topic in advance to ensure that I am prepared in case the student has difficulties understanding specific topics. I make practice test prior to exams/test to prepare students for what they will face during an exam. If a student finishes their homework before the allotted session is over I will provide extra practice for students to best grasp the topic at hand.
