About Juan
I am 26, TEFL qualified and have a natural predisposition for languages. I enjoy learning and teaching language as it is one of the cornerstones whereon our "identities" and perceptions of the world are built.
I spent six months in Peru tutoring privately to some locals, ages from 9 to 40 and part of my TEFL training involved tutoring children between the ages of 6 and 12.
English is my native language, along with Afrikaans. Being bilingual is quite common in my beautiful country of South Africa.

I approach every situation individually as every person is unique and learns in their own way. One size does jot fit all when it comes to learning a language.
My main approach is very informal and involving more conversation - as this is the best way to learn a language.
When it comes to writing, spelling, vocabulary etc. the focus becomes more structured, with examples given and me walking the student through thoroughly.
I use my knowledge and experience to assess the student and decide which methodologies wouod work best, though I expect my students to also give their own input and take their own initiative.
Language is a living entity, you only get to know it by getting to KNOW it
