About Stephen
Dr Stephen Achugwo is an artist from Nigeria. He holds a BA in Graphic Design and an MFA and a PhD in Painting. He has given lessons in art to hundreds of students in Nigeria & abroad, with great results.

My teaching method in painting, drawing, mixed media, graphic and web design is practice-based. I start by giving a theoretical explanation of the type of artwork to be produced. Thereafter, I describe the materials, techniques and then talk about the purpose of the composition and the function of the design. I show students some examples before giving them some assignments.
