About Matthew
I have an MA in classics and am certified to teach Latin and Ancient Greek in secondary school.
I specialize in Ancient Greek language and literature, from Homer to Aristotle. Have taught at the middle school, high school and college level.
I have significant experience teaching Greek using Hanson and Quinn, the definitive text book for Ancient Greek grammar.

My approach to teaching language relies heavily on focus on form (FonF), which emphasizes explicit attention to morphology in a communicative context. I also encourage students to write in the target language, pursuant to the output theory of teaching language.
