About Rachel
I am an experienced Algebra tutor with four years of teaching high school students, having supported around 180 learners in developing stronger algebra skills and greater confidence. My teaching approach for Algebra is focused on practical applications of algebraic fractions and proportions. I begin with simplification of algebraic fractions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. I teach solving equations involving algebraic fractions with step-by-step methods. I cover direct and inverse variation, including solving problems involving proportionality and real-world applications like speed-time, work-days, and cost-quantity relationships. I also cover joint variation and combined variation problems. I use plenty of worked examples and provide step-by-step solutions. I assign homework that balances routine practice and application-based problems. I conduct weekly quizzes to track progress. I maintain a progress log and adjust my teaching pace based on individual needs. My goal is to help you master algebraic fractions and variation problems.
