About Mallory
Adult learners and dedicated students often find that rhythmic precision is the most elusive part of their practice. Honestly, I spent 13 years in professional orchestras just trying to get the timing perfect every single night. Having played professionally for 13 years, I now emphasize bowing technique and tuning by ear.

Getting the right sound at the start of a lesson is rarely about playing faster. My BMus from The Juilliard School taught me that the slowest practice often produces the quickest results.
We start by listening. Instruction focuses on the mechanics of the bow and the clarity of your intonation. I incorporate a 10.0 scale of rigor for those seeking elite preparation. Expect a high degree of technical scrutiny.
