About Augustine

Holding a Bachelor of Music degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, I approach guitar instruction with total clarity. I have taught 89 students over 10 years to navigate the fretboard with precision.

My process centres on reading sheet music, mastering strumming patterns, and executing clean barre chords. I also focus on acoustic technique, tuning and maintenance, and complex scales and modes.

Rhythm guitar and lead guitar are central to my curriculum. Music theory underpins every session I run. My teaching style is direct. I want to see you reach your performance goal.

About the lesson

Good teaching requires adaptability. Rigidity fails. I evaluate your current level with a diagnostic skills check before building the lesson plan for you. This ensures that every hour we spend is dedicated to the specific gaps in your technical knowledge.

You might struggle with chord transitions or need help with lead guitar lines, but I will provide the bridge to get you there. My philosophy is that the most effective learning happens when the student feels heard. I make adjustments based on your feedback during our time together. You can expect a warm and energetic environment where questions are always encouraged and the path forward is always clear.
