About Faheem

Hi, I'm an ACCA qualified Chartered Accountant with an MBA, currently working as an Audit Manager in London.

I've spent most of my professional life in accounting and finance, but my interests have always gone well beyond that. I love reading, learning about different subjects and, perhaps most importantly, sharing what I've learnt with others.

I've always enjoyed those moments when a conversation helps someone see or understand something they hadn't quite grasped before. It's one of the reasons I've wanted to get into teaching for a long time.

I did my O Levels and A Levels before going on to study ACCA and an MBA, so I'm familiar with the academic journey many students are going through. I also know that getting good grades isn't necessarily about being naturally gifted. Sometimes all it takes is someone who can explain things differently, give you a little confidence and be patient while you figure things out.

I'm fairly new to tutoring professionally, but I bring years of practical experience, a genuine curiosity about the subjects I teach and, most importantly, a real interest in helping people learn.

Outside work, I'm a big film and literature enthusiast, enjoy philosophy and psychology, and organise discussion groups where people come together to explore ideas and learn from one another.

About the lesson

I've always believed that if you really understand something, you should be able to explain it in simple terms. That's the approach I'd like to bring to my lessons.

I'm an ACCA qualified accountant with an MBA, and I've spent years working in accounting and auditing. One thing I've learnt over the years is that even the most complicated concepts become much easier once someone explains them in a way that makes sense to you.

I know that everyone learns differently. Some students need help getting their heads around the basics, while others understand the subject but struggle to apply their knowledge in exams. I'd like to understand where you're struggling and work from there, rather than follow the same approach with everyone.

I can help with Maths, English, Business Studies, Economics and Accounting at GCSE, O Level and A Level, as well as ACCA subjects. We can work through difficult topics, practise past papers, prepare for exams or simply spend time on things you haven't quite understood in class.

Lessons would normally be an hour long, but I'm happy to be flexible depending on what you need.

And please, ask as many questions as you like. I genuinely think there's no such thing as a stupid question when you're trying to learn something.
