About Shaan
I’m a third-year Medicine student at the University of Leeds with a strong passion for science and for supporting students in their learning. Having been through the GCSE and A-Level process myself, I understand how overwhelming it can feel—and I know that classroom teaching doesn’t always provide the clarity or support students need. This is why I’m committed to offering clear explanations, structured guidance, and helping the students build a deep conceptual understanding of the subjects so that they can succeed with confidence.

My teaching style is student-centred and supportive. I take time to understand each learner’s strengths and challenges and tailor my approach to their needs. This includes not only addressing their understanding of the subject but also looking at how they revise and work outside of lessons, so I can help them develop effective study habits and techniques to make consistent progress. I break down difficult topics into manageable, structured steps to help students build a solid and lasting understanding of key concepts. Alongside this, I incorporate regular, targeted exam practice so students can steadily improve their confidence and master effective exam techniques. A typical lesson lasts one hour however I am happy to do 2-3 consecutive hours if requested.
