About Katie
I am a 3rd year student at Cambridge University taking Physical Natural Sciences. I have been tutoring for 4 years and have helped many students reach their academic goals. I achieved A*'s in all of my A-Levels (physics, chemistry, maths, and further maths) and therefore can pass on my effective studying techniques and tips :)

When teaching, I tailor my approach to each student’s current level of understanding. In maths lessons, I guide students through examples step-by-step, then create related practice exercises to reinforce their comprehension. For the sciences, I explain concepts clearly and use active recall techniques to help students retain information, followed by a test to assess their progress. I adjust this process based on the individual needs of each student, ensuring they receive the right level of support.

Details
I put a great deal of preparation into each tutoring session, e.g. creating or finding resources, finding animations or diagrams, and writing quizzes. In addition, after each lesson I write a report detailing what was covered and how well the student grasped it, including possible further work.
