About Stan
Hello everyone,
I am currently a 3rd year Biomedical Science student at the University of Auckland. This year I have been selected to be a Manaaki tutor for stage 2 medical science papers (physiology, anatomy, pathology and immunology).
I have 3 years of tutoring experience in multiple subjects such as English, Statistics, Physics and French at NCEA Levels 1-3. I'm very adaptable to my students' needs and preferred methods of learning.
I am very friendly and approachable so feel free to ask me any questions!

First Lesson:
The first lesson is mainly spent getting to know the student and understanding what they are expecting from my tutoring. I also spend time getting to know what methods work for them (flashcards, past papers, etc...), from there I can start to plan my lessons accordingly.
Subsequent Lessons:
I will start by recapping what was done in the previous lessons through simple questions/activities. From there I will ask the student what they want to cover. I will then spend time teaching the concept/topic of interest. To finish off I will ask the student to complete activities based on what they just learned in order to further consolidate their learning.
