I am a 3rd year BCompt (Financial Accounting) student at UNISA. Having worked at various corporate companies for the last 14 years as a bookkeeper, I have extensive theoretical and practical experience in the accounting field. My teaching methodology is aimed at Grade 8 to Grade 12 Secondary Phase Accounting students and 1st year College or University students who have Financial or Management Accounting as subjects.
My lesson structure includes Assessment and Problem Area Diagnosis, which is done during the initial tutoring session. The outcome of the assessment is vitally important as it will indicate how our tutoring sessions will proceed and which areas the student needs assistance in. Tutoring sessions include understanding the basic accounting principles and with each lesson focus will be on the student not only knowing the basic accounting principles but mastering the complicated scenarios, which many accounting students battle with.
I am a 33 year old tutor who also battled with accounting. Today it is a passion and my career. I am patient, flexible and I explain concepts for it to become understandable.
