About Jasmine
I am a dedicated and caring educator who enjoys helping students learn, grow, and become more confident in themselves. I believe every child has the ability to succeed when they are given the right support, encouragement, and instruction.
As an elementary educator, I have experience working with students with different learning styles and academic needs. I especially enjoy teaching math and science, while also helping students strengthen their reading, writing, and study skills. I am patient and willing to explain concepts in different ways until students understand.
My goal is to create a positive and comfortable learning environment where students are not afraid to ask questions or make mistakes. I want my students to leave each session feeling more confident, prepared, and proud of what they have accomplished.

My approach as a tutor is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching methods to meet each student's individual needs. I use modeling, guided practice, examples, visuals, questioning, and hands-on activities to help students understand difficult concepts.
A typical lesson begins with a short review of what the student already knows. I then introduce the new skill and model how to complete it step by step. Next, we practice together before the student works independently. I end the lesson with a quick review or assessment to make sure the student understands the concept and to determine what we should work on next.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my patience and willingness to explain concepts in different ways until they make sense. I focus on building students' confidence as well as improving their academic skills. I also use students' strengths and interests to make learning more engaging.
My lessons are best suited for elementary school students, particularly students who need additional support in math, reading, science, or general academic skills. I can work with students who are struggling, students who need extra practice, or students who simply want to strengthen their skills and become more confident and independent learners.
