About Melody
I am compassionate and friendly, and my goal as a teacher/tutor is to create an inclusive environment where students feel welcomed, respected, and comfortable. I struggled with math as a child, so I know what it's like to have anxiety when you are trying your hardest to learn and keep up, but you always seem to be a step behind. Things I enjoy are video games, diamond painting, reading, and watching TV with my partner. My partner and I have been together for 12 years. We have no children, but we have two adorable fur babies; a cat (Derpy) and a dog (Purdy).

I have extensive experience with helping students with reading and literacy. I also have previous online tutor experience and have helped other students online who have struggled in things such as writing, grammar issues, comprehension, identifying text evidence, and more! My goal is to see students succeed and be able to apply their literacy skills to all other areas of academics so they have a successful future.
